Luis Bunuel's Cannes Palme D'Or winning 1961 classic, Viridiana was Bunuel's first film on his return to Spain after years of directing movies abroad. It was promptly denounced by the Vatican and banned in Catholic Spain for 17 years. Starring Sylvia Pinal and Fernando Rey.
