We’ve just finished linen-backing, restoring and framing this fantastic original 1972 US One-sheet for Gordon Parks Jr.’s ace blaxploitation thriller Superfly. An iconic poster, art by Robert Tanenbaum! It will be on display at our shop in Twickenham from this coming weekend.

We’re very happy to have recently acquired this fantastic original 1956 Belgian poster for Alexander MacKendrick’s Ealing comedy masterpiece The Ladykillers. Linen-backed (not by us on this occasion) and difficult to find, it features similar but different artwork to the British posters but interestingly places Alec Guinness at the centre of the poster. As the gang’s wily mastermind that seems appropriate!

A Jaques Tati classic from 1957 - Mon Oncle. This beautiful original French Affiche/Medium was already linen-backed when we acquired it at auction. A simple black frame with a mount was all we needed to do. A poster we’ve searched long and hard for and we’re so happy to finally find one😊. The brilliant design/artwork is by Pierre Etaix.

A piece of work in progress: linen-backing complete, archival cotton canvas linen drying, almost ready for final restoration work. This is the great original 1968 US One-sheet for Norman Jewison’s The Thomas Crown Affair starring uber cool Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway.

Part of our current exhibition display at our Twickenham store: Visionary Cinema: The films of Stanley Kubrick. A rare 1970s Belgian poster with great art of the main cast inside coins. This style of poster only features on a select few posters for Kubrick’s 1960 classic.

The greatest film of the 21st century? Well, according to the BFI’s 100 Greatest Films poll, yes, as it ranked at no.5. We’re not disagreeing with that assessment! Wong-Kar Wai’s masterpiece repays repeated viewings and only seems to grow in stature.
We’ve just finished framing this great original German A1 poster, which features a stunning image not on most other original release posters.

We’ve just finished linen-backing, restoring and framing this lovely original 1978 British Quad poster for the perennial favourite Grease. The artwork on this poster is different to the US posters, which makes it very collectible. The customer was delighted as it’s a surprise present for their friend so hopefully it’ll be adorning someone‘s wall pretty soon😊.
