Good to Very Good, unfolded, mounted and framed. Note that this Belgian poster had its top blank border trimmed off prior to mounting and framing.  Some minor staining in the bottom border and on right hand border but otherwise this poster is in very good condition for its age and displays well.

Classic 1954 Elia Kazan (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) crime union corruption dockworker romantic family relationship melodrama ("The truly great picture of the year!"; "A story as warm and moving as GOING MY WAY... but with brass knuckles!"; "Add to the few... the very few... truly memorable screen performances! Marlon Brando as Terry Malloy in 'On the waterfront'... one of the few... the very few... truly great motion pictures!"; Screenplay by Budd Schulberg"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; since both Schulberg and Kazan "named names" and co-operated with the House Un-American Activities Committee, some consider this movie a defence of informers. It is, in fact, one of the finest of post-war movies. Starring Marlon Brando (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Karl Malden (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Lee J. Cobb (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Rod Steiger (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Eva Marie Saint (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; billed as "Introducing Eva Marie Saint"). Note that this one of only three movies (the other two being The Godfather and The Godfather: Part II) that have ever had 3 different actors nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar!
