Come and see Robin Hardy's cult British folk horror classic ! Brilliantly scripted by Anthony Shaffer (the writer of Alfred Hitchock's Frenzy and Joseph L. Mankiewicz's Sleuth and featuring perhaps Christopher Lee's finest screen performance as Lord Summerisle, Edward Woodward, Britt Ekland and Ingrid Pitt.
When a young girl mysteriously disappears, Police Sergeant Howie (Edward Woodward) travels to a remote Scottish isand to investigate. But this pastoral community, led by the strange Lod Summerisle is not what it seems as the devoutly religious detective soon uncovers a secret society of wanton lust and pagan blasphemy.
