Birdman of Alcatraz (1962)

£250.00Price
  • POSTER TYPE

    One-Sheet

    27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]

  • POSTER CONDITION & GRADING

Good to Very Good, linen-backed. Condition prior to linen backing and restoration: there was a snipe over Telly Savalas's name and scuffs, stains, and minor surface paper loss. The poster was well-backed but you can still see signs of the defects, although most collectors would be happy to display this poster. Important Added Info: Note that many people have credited the art on this poster to Saul Bass, and it certainly IS "in the Saul Bass style". While there are many, many websites that have this poster credited to Saul Bass, we think it is the work of another artist. This was confirmed by a collector who created an exhibition of Bass art, and was told by Saul's daughter that this poster was not created by her father.
